MENTAL HEALTH

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood (mentalhealth.gov).

Taking care of your mental health is just like taking care of your physical health, and is equally as important because it can impact the whole person, including your physical health. How you handle situations, your outlook on struggles, your relationships, and your overall wellbeing is impacted by your mental health.

Therapy has been shown to have significant impacts on overall functioning as a person, performance, and has a lot of great benefits including improved relationships, better communication, increased happiness, and a great way to learn how to process and work on your struggles. People who attend therapy generally report improved overall functioning and happiness. That alone is reason enough!
